please rise and face the flag and we'll do the Pledge of Allegiance together today I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all please take a moment of silence good morning I miss Ligon and I miss this team are welcome to this is the news for the week Monday December 7th to Friday December 11th buses will be delivering breakfast and lunches this week on Mondays and Wednesdays if you still need to pick up school pictures just come by the school office anytime between 9 and 3 on school days miss having a fabulous students in our school buildings but it is so boring around here without you guys one of our favorite activities are family when students and their families come to school in the evenings for fun literacy activities obviously we are unable to do a regular literacy night this year so we've come up with a digital family Winter Wonderland will open on Thursday through a link sent to you by your teachers I can also be found on our school website starting on Thursday Winter Wonderland will have Wonder puzzles and read-alouds by some of our wonderfully to teachers if you completed Wonder puzzles be sure to fill out the Google form attached at the end and then come by the school anytime next week between 9 and 3 and Pick up a stye being full of goodies and what kind of goodies she got in the car that's fun and what else is in here looking all kinds of stuff yeah I can get in trouble with lots of fun stuff you can complete as many puzzles as you want but you can only win one stocking the puzzles and stories are fun for the whole family so be sure to share just look for the winter wonderland link on Thursday and join in on the phone just a reminder our social emotional learning Focus for this month is empathy empathy is recognizing and sharing the feelings of another person what do we have empathy we can understand how someone else might feel because we can put ourselves in their shoes so to speak empathy is a wonderful thing to have because it shows us how much we care about other people and now it's time for the word of the week this week's word is compassionate compassionate means the ability to see someone hurting and wanting to help so which of these would be a compassionate thing to do laughing at someone who fell down no laughing at or making fun of someone isn't compassionate what about in a sad friend a hug is that compassionate yes I how can I help someone feel better if they are so it's a compassionate thing to do what about donating money items to homeless shelter is that compassionate what do you think and remember to use the word while speaking and writing and now let's go to Doctor Scott for another one of her are we buy Mrs lomack Going the Distance hey students I have another joke for you today this is a Christmas joke that's a good one for school so what do L study at school the alphabet hope you guys have a great day don't forget to be proud positive and productive good morning Eastside explorers it's time for going to distant towards some of you are doing a fabulous job with your remote learning Alexi hor wonders are alright from kindergarten or first winner is for mrs. Matthews class cambrie Hodson congratulations to keep up the good work and inform his friends class our brother first grader is Russell map Lego Russell keep up the good work now on the second grade for Miss bennet's class KC Kimberling where to go to see Timberland and from mrs. Miller's class Connor Tracy way2go Connor Raiders you make me stretch all the way over there from his attendance Clash Deshawn sinkhole and how about one more third grader from this is a Genesis class in Crock way to go Peyton keep it up and then from 4th grade our first winner is from his reisinger's class and it's Joshua Owens way to go Joshua and then our last fourth grader for this week is from his class and it's Maddie Pasco way to go Maddie look up the good work and once again he said as far as whether we're here at school or whether we're home remote learning thank you for being proud positive and productive
