please rise and face the flag and we'll do the Pledge of Allegiance together today I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all please take a moment of silence good morning and I'm this is more like welcome to the eat if you are a 4th grader and are interested in becoming an E2 newscaster please fill out an application that you can get from your teacher please if you're just going to see this is the news for the week of Monday October 5th to Friday October 9th are the lip Pier is this week's lunch menu Monday taco pizza Choice hamburger cheeseburger or PB&J Tuesday Mister rib sandwich Choice mozzarella bread stick bite or turkey sandwich pepperoni calzone or PB&J birthday spaghetti Choice corn dog or turkey sandwich and Friday a breaded chicken sandwich or PB&J uncrustable just a reminder fall break begins this Friday at 3 we will return to school on Monday October 19th picture day is Tuesday the Tuesday after we get back from fall break information on pricing and ordering will be sent home in Thursday folder this week are social emotional fever October is self-control having self-control means having the ability to think the can you act learning self-control takes time and practice but it's an important skill to have in order to be a good friend as well as learn new things and practice self control playing games like Simon says mother-may-i or red light green light game like Jenga or operation plus they're really fun and now it's time for the word of the week this word is self-regulated self-regulated mean being calm and in control of your actions is taking 3 slow deep breaths a way to be self-regulating yes flow deep breathing is a fabulous way to be self-regulated that's why we practice it every morning what about you really rude to show self-regulation no yelling and screaming does doesn't show in control cam you are not self regulated when you yell and scream and it doesn't solve the problem what about quietly reading a book are you self regulated when you are only reading a book what do you think and remember to use the word while speaking and writing and now it's time for the the week Miss Bennet would like to give a shout out to second grader Aaron Jones for sharing to stories on their morning Zoom way to go Aaron is awesome hello it's go to miss Womack for are Going the Distance awards for a virtual student hello is that explorers once again it's time for Going the Distance Awards virtual students we sure do miss you but we are really really proud of the work you're doing virtually so I'm going to pick out her first winner from kindergarten remember I'm only doing one winner for grade so when are from kindergarten this week is from his last year and it's Jonah Watson where to go I want to see if I can get from first grade or wonders from mrs. Bowen's class of course and it is Alexander Ward way to go Alexander and then from second grade from Miss bennet's class Zane Tucker way2go Zane boys all boy so far here's another boy from third grade Mrs Downes class from third grade Lucas way to go Lucas my man Lucas if I get a girl through 4th grade our winner for this week for going to the distance is Kaylee Rodriguez the affair oh I hope I said that right Kaylee congratulations and thank you are going to recent winners and Oliver virtual students and all of her students are at Eastside for being proud positive and productive have a great week
