good morning I'm Sophia m am I miss Bennett welcome to the E2 news  this is a news for the week of Monday May 22nd to Friday May 26  please stand and join dr. Scott as she leaves the Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all please take a moment of silence here's this week's lunch menu Monday chicken sticks Choice shrimp poppers or hamburger Tuesday chili Choice chicken which orange crustable Wednesday chicken noodles Choice steak fingers or hamburger chicken alfredo mini Corn Pops or in Crossville Friday mozzarella breadsticks Choice pizza burger or hamburger be sure to tune in your TV's at the end of the day today for the video about a special home for students with perfect attendance just a reminder the art show is tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 this is car says there will be over 1200 works of art on display and two certificates going to students can use grade level  your friends are invited to come and enjoy wonderful words of art from E to students word of the week this week's word is an experience and experience means new to something for example the two of us are inexperienced with doing the newscast since we have never done this before remember to try to use the word of the week while speaking and writing  the last go skating party of the year will be this Thursday from 6 to 8 what's the Anderson Roll Arena  Friday is superhero day at Eastside so wear your favorite superhero t-shirt now it's time for the shot the week  Miss Bennet would like to give a shout out to Sofia Emma Fuji Risa for her responsibility and of her own learning by setting goals and working hard to achieve them way to go Sofia  this phone I go like to give a shout out to mrs. Fulton mr. Lambert plumbers classes for pulling their fish cash together to purchase a pizza party for each class that is 1500 fish cash plow dr. Scott would like to give a shout out to mrs. Delaney and mrs. dance class for spelling out perfect attendance and earning a classroom popcorn party nice work Bella's go to mrs. Womack for the cash card drawing for books  hey before we do the fish cash drawing for books last week miserly sat down with a few of our fifth grade students to kind of reminisce and talk about their experience here at Eastside so we recorded that and we're going to show it now just as an end-of-the-year celebration with our Eastside 5th graders see you in a minute I said students and staff this is mrs. Worley and I have a few students in my office currently what are 5th graders that I wanted to ask some questions because they're going to be moving on to middle school next year and I thought it'd be interesting to what they have to say about Eastside and their future at Highland and Anderson High School so I'm going to ask some when's that I hope you enjoy what they have to tell us hi guys I just want you to think about for a minute how does it make you feel knowing that you are going to be leaving East Side l tree  pretty soon and not be coming back here lot of you started here in kindergarten some of you might not have but you've been here how long time how's it feel that you're going to be leaving here and then going to a new school next year  scared you're scared what do you what do you think your about  like a lot of kids that walk around the locks the locks on the lockers what frightened about the locks as well I was never able to actually open up the lock when they let us try and test I really struggled I'm nervous and excited cuz I want to meet the new teacher but I'm also nervous to go to a new school  I'm really nervous because I don't know how it's going to turn out and how it's going to be I feel like I won't know anyone  imma be sad Miss like all the teachers and stuff like that  so what do you think what's something that you're going to that's the most about Eastside Elementary School thing about that what are you going to miss the most about East Side  teachers in Jesus very good any teachers in mind that you want to give a shout out to  okay great I'm going to miss a lot of my friends who aren't in the same grade as me and some of my past teachers shoutouts to your past teachers teachers that I've had one of my favorites is misses Miller  I'm a definitely miss my teachers and imma go with AV on said I'm going to miss recess a lot cuz I'm active person and the person I'm I miss most is Chase Rice near my 4th grade teacher really really going to miss it a couple of my teachers Miss Fulton Miss plumber and mr. Lambert they've always done a lot this year and it's just not going to be the same without him really I'm going to miss my teachers and like one of my past teachers with swirly when I like first got here and are you going to miss any school lunches Cinnaminson either lunch time yeah okay so one last thing because you're all graduating from fifth grade getting promoted what something you're going to take with you that you've learned here at Eastside and it doesn't necessarily need to be that you learn how to read or that you learned math real life lesson that you've learned that you're going to use the rest of your life something that you might use forget is to be proud positive and productive very well I've learned that how to make friends and song with people and respect our teachers and adults  I've learned to be respect good for most part at least and  and sit sit substitute  and buyouts I've learned to treat others the way you would want to be treated respect adults  okay what would it be a piece of advice that you would give to the little kids that are in gray this year moving up in the second graders that are moving up in the third graders that are moving up in the 4th graders that are moving up what would advise you give to them  that you need to really study cuz strong testing all that is going to get harder and harder I always listen to your teachers they're going to tell you what to do and and you're going to learn from them and don't talk to your friend's neck no matter what just listen whether it's going to be harder easy because you are really need to learn these things and if you don't know him then you're not going to be able to move on to Middle School making friends can make a school lot more fun and interesting so I would suggest trying to make some friends I would suggest to never ever give up no matter how hard it is just never give up hey by out what I want to thank all of you for participating in this and wish you all the very very best next year I know all of you will do very well in life you're going to succeed I can tell you got a good head on your shoulders and a bright future ahead of you okay so with that let's all just say bye good morning Ace floors once again it's time for a fish cash drawing for books remember if your name gets called come on down to the office and get a certificate that you can use for free book on Wednesday here we go from mrs. Bowen's class and it's Kayla come on down kelela from 2nd grade Miss bennet's class this is Millers class Becca  misses Millers class again Tanner and our last second grader for this week is for Miss bennet's class Miss bennet's class and it's Elena come on down Lena get a certificate from third grade is McGinnis is class Blake Miss ascots class and Lily  got to hear mrs. McGinnis is class Atticus and our last winners from Miss Carlie class and it's page come on down page and get a certificate from fourth grade Miss reisinger's class he  miss Collins yes lilianne  was a Saxbys class Adriana and our last fourth-grader is from this silly Miss Collins class and it's Jayla Jayla turn down get a certificate from fifth grade mr. Lambert's class destiny  mr. Lambert's class again Eli mr. Lambert's class again Mackenzie and our last one from fifth grade is from Mr Lambert's class again and it's Nate come on down and get a certificate and a once again any sided Forest thank you for being proud positive and productive have a great wink
