Use these Conversation Starters to get your student talking. Listen for correct productions of their speech sound. For students who are newer to Speech Therapy, parents can point out errors on sounds and have the student repeat the word using the sound correctly. For students working on carryover for their sound, have the student monitor his/her speech and correct any errors they might make. If they don't catch their error, ask them, "Which word in that sentence was said incorrectly?"
