Hello!

I am one of Eastside's 3rd grade teachers. This is my 6th year teaching at E2. I have taught resource and now am currently teaching 3rd grade. I love the students and staff that attend our school. I grew up in Terre Haute, IN and moved to Muncie to attend Ball State University. There I graduated with an elementary/special education degree. I love to craft, explore the outdoors, cook, travel, and spend time with my fur babies (Rory the corgi and my cats). Children bring such joy and I love to see how each child grows throughout each year, knowledge and personality. 
 
In third grade, we use Canvas a lot. If you are ever curious on what your child is doing, you can go to the current days homepage on Canvas. I also utilize Class Dojo as an easy way for you to contact me. There are many wonderful programs accessed through Clever that your child can always access. Reading A-Z, Reading Eggs, Edmentum,IXL and Boddlelearning are just a few of these wonderful resources!

On e-learning days, you can access your child's work through Canvas. Navigate to the homepage and choose on the day. All assignments will be linked or listed on that page.

e-learning Days

This letter is to inform you how e-learning will look in the resource room. Due to not wanting your child to have extra work, I will be making up the lost time with your child within the month (if needed according to their IEP). I will be pushing in (working in the general education classroom) extra to aid your child with skills happening in the classroom. Even though, your child will not be attending school on e-learning days, their IEP will continued to be followed. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

Great News!

I wrote a grant proposal to the mayor about getting the Osmo learning program for our resource classes. We were lucky enough to be one of the chosen winners! Starting after break, our students will get to engage in the new program with their IPADS.
