Biography

My name is Beth French. I've been teaching in ACS for 34 years. Most of my time has been in 5th grade, but I have also taught 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th grade. I also spent two years out of the classroom working with teachers in learning how to use and integrate technology.  My favorite grade though is definitely 5th!!  I have been at several different ACS elementary and middle schools through the years.

I grew up in rural Pennsylvania and came to Anderson University for my BA in Education. I began with Anderson Community Schools immediately after I graduated. I then studied at Ball State and received my MA in Education with a focus on Reading. I am happily married to my husband David and we have two boys who will soon graduate from Anderson High School and move into adulthood. My oldest, Owen, plans to go to electrical school to become a journeyman. Austin, my youngest, plans on attending college to study business. I love spending time with my family and playing games. We love to travel and also enjoy camping together. I am active in my church as well. I love bringing new experiences to children and opening their eyes to new ideas.
