I am excited to start a new year at Eastside Elementary!

I am from a small town on the Ohio River named Rising Sun, Indiana. I am a graduate of Ball State University many years ago. Chirp! Chirp! I live in Anderson with my husband, Myron, who teaches at Highland Middle School, and I have three adult children who all graduated from Anderson High School. When I'm not at school, I like to spend time with my family. I love music and play the guitar for fun. My favorite color is blue. My family and I love to walk at Mounds Park.

In class this year, we will learn so much. We will grow lettuce and tomatoes, learning about hydroponics and healthy eating. We will read novels together. We will spin the wheel for the WOW! board for good behavior. We will learn about the United States and how it became a country. We will write reports about important people in history and create living museums. And, along the way, we will have fun and learn to work together.

I am looking forward to a great year!
