Biography

Mrs. Jennifer Tanksley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed School Social Worker (LSSW) through the Indiana Department of Education with more than 20 years of experience serving children and families. She has provided school-based and outpatient mental health services throughout Hancock, Madison, and Marion counties. Mrs. Tanksley also serves as a volunteer member of a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team, providing support to first responders and other public servants following critical incidents.

 

At Eastside Elementary, Mrs. Tanksley provides individual check-ins, small groups, classroom lessons, crisis intervention, attendance support, and connections to school and community resources. She is passionate about helping children understand and express their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and overcome barriers to learning. She is equally dedicated to connecting families with resources and believes that strong school-family partnerships are essential to student success. Mrs. Tanksley is committed to helping every Eastside Explorer thrive.
