Biography
With 25 years of experience in Anderson Community Schools, I am honored to serve as the principal of Eastside Elementary. My journey in education began as a self-contained Mild teacher, followed by roles as a 2nd-grade teacher, PAR Consultant, Reading Specialist, and District Coach. Most recently, I served as the Director of Southview Preschool before returning to the elementary setting—a place I am truly passionate about.
I hold degrees in Elementary and Special Education, along with master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Curriculum & Instruction. Additionally, I am a district-licensed dyslexia-trained educator and have recently earned my Administration License, which has prepared me for this exciting leadership role.
As a proud ACS graduate, I have deep roots in Anderson, Indiana. While I’ve lived in other cities, I found my way back home, drawn by my love for this community. I actively support local organizations and nonprofits that enhance quality of life, particularly in the arts. As the co-founder of A Town Center, Inc., I am dedicated to fostering creativity and community engagement. Outside of work, I am a devoted pet parent to five wonderful fur babies.
I am passionate about both education and the Anderson community, and I look forward to working together to make this school year a success!
