Mrs. Dalton's Classroom

I am originally from Anderson and have gone to school here at Anderson Community Schools in grades Kindergarten to twelfth grade.  During high school, I participated in a cadet teaching program here at Eastside Elementary!  I quickly fell in love with this school and knew I wanted to teach here.  I then went to Ball State University for college and graduated with a major in Elementary and Special Education.  Once I graduated in 2014, I saw postings for this school and knew that was where I needed to be.  I love working at Eastside Elementary and with the wonderful faculty and staff.  I am currently going back to receive my Master's Degree in Special Education and will graduated the summer of 2017!
Above is a picture of my family (mom - Jeanne, dad - Mike, sister - Jacqueline).  We are all extremely close and love spending time together.  We enjoy going on walks when the weather is nice, playing games, and going on vacation.  Two years ago, we were able to travel to Europe to join my sister on her wedding day.  I absolutely love traveling and plan to go many more places in the future.
The other two pictures include myself and my husband, Tyler.  We got married in July 2017!  Both of us are on the local volunteer fire department.  We really enjoy sharing these experiences together.  Being on the fire department has been one of the most rewarding experiences outside of teaching.  I absolutely love the feeling of helping to save someones house and especially someones life.
I am beyond excited to still be working at Eastside Elementary!  I love seeing my students achieve their goals and improve on their daily activities.  The look on their faces when the "light bulb comes on" is absolutely priceless.  My classroom would not be the same without my two AMAZING paras, Tammy Kelich and Madison Edgreen.  I would not be able to do my job without these two wonderful ladies.  I am beyond grateful to have such a great team in my classroom.  I can't wait for all of the new experiences here at Eastside!
